A custom WordPress website design for The Wincombe Centre, a serviced office and meeting room space in Dorset.
The Wincombe Centre’s goals with the overhaul of their website were to; modernise the look and feel, make the site much more mobile-friendly and also increase the website’s Google rankings. Find out how we addressed each of these goals in this case study.
To bring the design of the website up to date, we created a totally custom look and feel that utilises the full width of the browser window and borrows ideas from the diamond and rounded element in the centre’s branding.
The “How can we help you?” block under the main banner provides clear options for visitors to immediately get at the information they most desire and we make it crystal clear towards the bottom of the page what next steps visitors need to take to move their interest forward.
With the main “Serviced Office” page, we wanted to allow the visitor to quickly see a gallery of images and then provide them with key reasons why The Wincombe Centre is a great choice to base their business. We back this up with testimonials and then provide a simple call to action to book a viewing.
The “Facilities” page essentially lists out all the benefits basing your business at The Wincombe Centre brings in a quickly scannable way.
To help the website rank well on Google and to help convince visitors that relocating their business to North Dorset is a good idea, we created a “Working In North Dorset” page. This page gives The Wincombe Centre the ability to showcase all that Shaftesbury and North Dorset has to offer.
Arguably the most important page on the site, the “Availability” page had to make it clear which units are currently available and provide an interactive floor plan of The Centre itself. All of which is easily editable in the WordPress admin area.
As with every project we work on, we began thinking about how The Wincombe Centre’s new website would adjust on mobile devices from day one. This allowed us to confidently produce a custom WordPress website that adjusts perfectly no matter the size of the device it is being viewed on, whether that’s a smart phone, or a television in a meeting room.
“The undertaking of a new website for The Wincombe Centre was something which, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to, but Will made the whole thing really easy. He listened to what our needs and ideas were and delivered. Throughout the build communication was second to none, and when I was at last able to access the new website to add content, Will explained the process really well and, although time consuming and at times creatively challenging, made it simple to the point where by the time we went live, I was fully confident with adding posts, making any changes or updates. I’m so glad we chose Authentic style as I am also confident that we will be looked after moving forward and that our website will be performing to the best of its ability which is vital to our business. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this brilliant, personable and professional company.”
