Custom Yacht Charter Web Design

Sunseeker Charters

Custom WordPress website with CRM integration for a leading yacht charters business.

Sunseeker Charters (based in Poole, Dorset) contacted us to overhaul the original website we had built for them 6 years earlier. During that time the emphasis of the business had shifted slightly, and whilst previously the focus had been on showcasing all the amazing yachts that are available, this time around, Sunseeker Charters wanted a site where the focus was much more about allowing visitors to search with various criteria to find the yacht charter holiday of their dreams…

Launch website

Design with a focus on search

Once we’d gone through a detailed planning process with Sunseeker Charters and created wireframe layouts for all the key pages of the new website, we began looking at creating the look and feel for this new website. The new homepage design puts the focus on the visitor being able to perform a search as soon as they land on the site – on Desktop or Mobile devices – and then includes information panels on each of the yachts in the charter fleet if someone would prefer to browse that way.

Searching for a charter holiday

When a search is carried out, yachts are displayed in a large grid. This allows Sunseeker Charters to include beautiful imagery for each yacht, along with information about its location, charter price, length, top speed and guest capacity too.

Once a yacht has been selected, the user is taken through to an information page, complete with image gallery, “at a glance” information, layout info and a contact form to make it easy for visitors to enquire about a particular yacht directly from that page of the website.

Browsing charters by destination

Destinations are another key part of the Sunseeker Charters website with many visitors preferring to find their perfect yacht charter holiday by selecting the location first and then finding the best yacht for their requirements. Each of the destination pages include large photography, a gallery, “at a glance” information including average temperatures, example itinerary’s and also a contact form allowing visitors to enquire directly from these pages too…

Stylish content pages

Whilst the search, yacht details and destination pages form the key parts of this new website, it was important to give Sunseeker Charters the ability to create “content” pages too. Below is an example of one such page – the “Why Charter?” page – which includes impactful imagery and then alternating content blocks as you scroll down the page.

WordPress development with CRM integration

Everything about the new Sunseeker Charters website is content managed in WordPress so the team can easily edit content and imagery. The content management is set up to even allow Sunseeker Charters to build out their own new pages if they so desire. As part of this project we also integrated the feed from Sunseeker’s custom CRM system, so that any update they make to the yachts and destinations in the company CRM is reflected automatically on the website.
