We’ve got exciting news!

Authentic Style HQ has moved from its sanctuary of over 10 years at The Wincombe Centre in Shaftesbury, Dorset, to a virtual office at the fantastic Bayside Business Centre in Poole, Dorset.

Our main contact telephone number has changed to 01202 779577, so please do update your records, but our old 01747 852298 number will still be in place and get you through to us, so don’t worry if you forget the new number.

The move to a virtual office came about as the company has now shifted from a flexible working set up to a fully remote model, with our team working out of their preferred locations across the South West and the UK as a whole.

 

Why become a remote business you ask?

Since the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve only had a handful of in-person meetings – the vast majority of our meetings have been carried out on Zoom or MS Teams. This has actually meant we’ve been able to cut down massively on travel time, emissions and even work with businesses outside of our local Dorset area.

Even before COVID our team worked up to 2 days a week from home, so we feel it doesn’t now make sense to tie our team down to one central office location – they can work from anywhere and design their work-day around the things that matter most to them. Like taking their kids to school, picking them up in the afternoon, exercising at lunch, or learning a new skill in their old commute time.

 

How remote working will benefit our clients

We are aware that some individuals might be wary of working remotely. However, we have been doing it successfully as a part of our previous hybrid work-from-home strategy for a number of years.

No matter where they are located, every member of our team provides the same level of quality and professionalism to our clients.

 

We already have all the right tools in place

As previously mentioned, our team had a hybrid work-from-home strategy since well before COVID-19, which thankfully made it relatively easy for us to handle that change during the pandemic.

We regularly connect using tools like Slack for messaging, Nifty and Basecamp for project management and Trello for managing tasks.

 

Our location no longer restricts the talent we can work with

Previously, team members needed to be able to commute to our Shaftesbury, Dorset HQ at least 3 days per week.

Now that is not the case, we are able to open ourselves up to the ability to hire talented designers, web developers and SEO experts from all over the UK – our location doesn’t hinder us.

 

To conclude

Remote working is already having an extremely positive impact on our team and consequently the work we’re producing.
