Metex are a UK-based manufacturer of specialist tools for the construction industry. Their products are widely used by professionals across drainage, utilities, and construction, and they’re known for creating practical, durable solutions that make tough jobs easier.
While their products are highly regarded, Metex felt that their old website wasn’t doing them justice. It lacked the polished, professional edge that reflected the quality of their tools, and it wasn’t as easy as it could be for customers to find information or for the team to manage content.
They approached us with a clear goal: to create a bespoke website that builds credibility, makes browsing product ranges simple, and sets them up for growth.

We created a fully custom WordPress site, designed to strike the right balance between professional polish and practical usability. The new homepage makes a strong first impression. It quickly establishes credibility with a bold, clean design, introduces Metex’s product ranges, and makes it easy to either browse products or get in touch.

With a growing catalogue of tools, it was important that users could quickly find what they were looking for. We built an archive system with intuitive filtering, so customers can narrow down by category.
Individual product pages include clear images, specifications, and — importantly — a direct link to retailers, guiding users seamlessly to purchase without Metex needing to handle transactions directly.

The Downloads area provides instant access to manuals, technical sheets, and marketing materials. This resource hub is easy to navigate and ensures customers always have the information they need at hand.
To support Metex’s content marketing strategy, we included a News section for updates and insights, and a dedicated Case Studies area to showcase real-world applications of their tools. These flexible layouts give Metex plenty of scope to build authority and drive organic traffic over time.
Another key consideration of this project was making it as simple as possible for people to find relevant retailers to actually purchase Metex products from. We did this with a simple “Find a Retailer” section that allows the user to filter retailer by category. Each time this section is loaded, the order in which retailers are displayed is randomised to prevent any one retailer from always showing first.
We also created a “Become a Retailer” section which outlines the benefits of selling Metex products, along with a short application form.
All great things start with a chat. Use the adjacent form or our project planner to get things started.
